Locked out, Home, and VEGAS!!

I'm going to start with the most recent....

VEGAS!
Shelby Mustangs
For PBL (Professional Business Leaders) we went down to Las Vegas to tour businesses. We started off on Monday at the Shelby Mustang museum . It was cool to look at the cars. The entire time I just kept wishing my dad was there to explain it all to me. I definitely don't understand car language!! We moved onto the Luxor. We had a very in depth tour of how they run their hotel. They even gave us free food! It was interesting to learn how they work.
Fremont Street
That evening, we walked from the Stratosphere (which was where we were staying) to Fremont Street. It was about 2 miles, which wasn't bad, especially compared to the walk two years ago all the way down the strip in the blazing heat! TENDER MERCY: I got to experience new things. I went ziplining down Fremont Street and rode in a taxi for the first time. Definitely a highlight of the trip!

Sourcing at MAGIC
Tuesday we went to Zappos. This was my favorite business tour. The information was stuff I will actually be able to use as a teacher. I will be able to show my students different cultures. Afterwards, we went to the Las Vegas Convention Center. We learned a little about how Las Vegas markets itself and we got to attend the MAGIC fashion show. Stephanie, my sister, would have loved it and I wish she would have been there. We have decided to start our own boutique so we can go every year!

HOME
Earlier in the weekend, I was able to go home. I hadn't been home in a month, which considering the fact that I went home every other weekend for football games last semester, a month was a long long time. They were kind enough to wait for me to come home to go to The Cheesecake Factory for my mom's birthday. The Tuxedo Cheesecake was divine!

I also got to be there to help my sister get ready for the sweethearts dance. I definitely miss that aspect of high school. I wish there were dances that I could get all dressed up for and dance the night away with a guy! Oh well, they next time that will happen will be my wedding. I also got to see Safe Haven. It was good. Better than The Lucky One, but I still think that A Walk to Remember is my favorite Nicholas Sparks book gone movie. TENDER MERCY: I have the best family ever!

LOCKED OUT

On Valentine's Day night, Blair and I got locked out. We got home around 10 pm and the door was locked and we didn't have our keys. We rang the doorbell a million times, knocked, called our other roommated, texted her. No response. Blair was able to slide a credit card in and get the bottom lock unlocked, but the deadbolt was also locked. We sat outside our apartment for 2 1/2 hours before Kirsten finally called us back. Apparently, she had been asleep in bed the whole entire time! TENDER MERCY: She checked her phone! If she wouldn't have woken up, we would have been out there all night.
