1. Introduction- "We Lived With God" video
- What evidence of His hand do these people see in the world around them?
- Ask the class what evidence they see in the world around them.
2. Liken the Scriptures/Learn Together
- Pass out the worksheet with the scripture matching game (Option: you can also hang a large version of the match game on the board. Printables found in like above)
- Have one person read the scripture and find the match on the other side
- 1 Nephi 1:20 - Tender mercies over the chosen
- Psalms 145:9 - Created all things
- Moses 6:63 - All things bear record
- Alma 30:44 - There is a Supreme Creator
- D&C 59:21 - Who confess not his hand in all things
- Have a class member read the story from Elder Bednar's talk "The Tender Mercies of the Lord" about the young widow and the Christmas card. You could also split it up into quotes so that multiple youth read.
3.Making it Personal
- What is a tender mercy?
- Watch the Mormon Message "The Tender Mercies of the Lord" video
- Complete the worksheet as you see fit. Allow the youth to share their thoughts.
4. Conclusion
- Pull topic back to how even thought God created the universe, He still know each and every one of us.
- If there is time you can share the video "God is Our Father"
