Years ago I started a blog for my family, hardyoffour.blogspot.com . (You can look at it if you really want to.) I haven't posted anything for years, more like 4 years. So I decided it's time to start my own blog, mostly because I didn't want to try to update my family's. Plus my life is pretty entertaining, if I do say so myself.
I want my blog to be more than just documenting and sharing my life with others. I also want to focus on the tender mercies my Heavenly Father blesses me with each and every day. We often share with others the big things that happen in life. Yet, how often do we share the small things? "By small and simple things are great things come to pass" (Mosiah 37:6). How true that is!
Life gets busy. We chase around, get errands done, or scramble to complete a project at the last second. Find a time to reflect on the day. Whether your day was great or your day was horrible, I challenge you to take a step back and notice the tender mercies in your life. They come in all shapes and sizes. Elder David A. Bednar said, "that the tender mercies of the Lord are available to all of us and that the Redeemer of Israel is eager to bestow such gifts upon us." It's time to recognize and thank him for them!
